Ian “Dino” Holliday, President:

Dino has been in the construction industry for 40 years.  He spent the first year working in plumbing, the next two years framing houses, followed by 21 years as a self-employed carpenter. The last sixteen years have been spent on the administrative and supervisory end. His well-rounded experience has given him the ability to do most of the trade work in building and renovating houses.

Those sixteen years have been mostly spent servicing property management companies.  Having attended over 140 council meetings, spoken at AGM’s, and served for three years on two strata councils, Dino knows what it takes to make property repair a smooth process for strata councils and property managers.

Dino is educated in accounting and is responsible for preparing reports, budgeting, project management, and strategic planning.

Kirk Smalley, Partner:

Kirk specializes in Account Services.  Kirk has many years of experience in sales and business management, and has been instrumental in the successful start-up of several businesses, including an electric sign business called MDS.

Trent Smalley, Partner:

Starting out as a framer and working his way through the ranks, Trent is now a Partner and specializes in project management, client services, and estimating.

Trent is a former professional lacrosse player for the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Western Lacrosse Association (WLA – click to read more), and runs Lacrosse training camps for Excel Fitness in Richmond.

Mike Shellard, Superintendent:

Originally from England, Mike joined the Columbus team in 2008.  He is an expert at construction.  Back in England he ran his own construction company, and successfully renovated many of his own properties.

Mike’s exceptional leadership skills were developed while serving the Royal Marines, and over years of playing rugby.  He is a former professional rugby player, and currently is the head coach of the Richmond Rugby Club (click to read more).
